Description
The Town of Oyster Bay Department of Planning and Development is seeking qualified professional engineering and architectural consulting firms to provide technical assistance for structural assessments of abandoned and damaged buildings. Services include visual and detailed inspections conducted with Department representatives, comprehensive comments and reports regarding structural integrity, research of property and building records, coordination with Town departments and other municipal agencies, and expert testimony at hearings, court proceedings, and public meetings as needed. The initial contract period is one year, from January 1, 2027, through December 31, 2027, with two additional one-year renewal options by mutual consent. The selected firm must provide appropriately licensed or certified professionals, submit licensed Professional Engineer and Registered Architect information, provide a maximum hourly wage-rate schedule, and respond with technical staff on an as-needed basis. Proposals must address the firm's qualifications, proposed staff, similar municipal experience, methodology, references, and manpower costs; four hard copies of the technical proposal are required. The solicitation requires workers' compensation, bodily injury and property damage liability coverage, and professional liability insurance, including stated minimum limits.
