Description
This construction project will modify the M/V Tazlina to accommodate sleeping quarters for up to 24 people, including eight single-person staterooms on the Bridge Deck and eight two-person staterooms on the Upper Deck. The work also includes a galley, scullery, mess spaces, a new Bridge Deck fan room, modifications to the EGR fuel system and passenger dining area, extensions to the port stair tower for crew access, storage and office space on the Passenger Deck, and modifications to the children's play area. The contractor must perform all associated removals and installation of new structure, piping, electrical systems, toilet and shower modules, lighting, ceilings, insulation and wall linings, deck coverings, furniture, galley equipment, and fixtures. Coatings and protection upgrades, state-funded annual overhaul work, and all ancillary work necessary to complete the revised vessel arrangement are also included. The engineer's estimate is between $30,000,000 and $40,000,000.
