Description
This Sources Sought notice requests information from companies capable of performing drydock repairs on the USCGC TERN (WPB-87343). The contractor would provide the facilities, materials, equipment, and personnel required for the work, which would be performed at the contractor's facility; there is no geographical restriction for the cutter. The anticipated scope includes hull plating and ultrasonic inspections; preservation of underwater hull surfaces, freeboard, decks, superstructure, mast, stern tube surfaces, and other coated surfaces; cleaning and inspection of fuel, oil, wastewater, and sewage tanks and piping; main-engine maintenance and control-system updates; engine and reduction-gear realignment; renewal of propulsion shafts, bearings, bearing carriers, propellers, rudder assemblies, cathodic-protection components, and other marine equipment; electrical, ventilation, HVAC, seawater-system, and fathometer work; drydock and temporary services; and sea-trial support. The anticipated period of performance is 63 calendar days, with an anticipated start date of June 8, 2027, and end date of September 28, 2027, subject to change. This is a Sources Sought/Request for Information notice, not a solicitation for proposals or quotations.
