Description
The City of Fairfield is soliciting bids for cleaning and inspection of potable-water facilities at the North Bay Regional Water Treatment Plant. The scope includes interior cleaning of above-ground steel reservoirs, underground reservoirs, conduits, and high-lift pump station sumps; removal and disposal of debris, sediment, and sludge; and detailed inspection and documentation of surfaces and appurtenances. The contractor must provide written repair recommendations for distressed areas, perform minor spot repairs, dechlorinate and filter cleaning discharge, install a discharge flowmeter, conduct dechlorination sampling, and maintain reservoir disinfection. Identified facilities include the Treated-Water Pump Station Sump, Chlorine Contact Basin, and Settled-Water Conduit. The engineer's estimate is $29,000. A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for October 6, 2026, at the North Bay Regional Water Treatment Plant.
