Description
The University of California, Los Angeles is seeking an Executive Architect through a Request for Qualifications for the adaptive-reuse tenant improvement of an existing approximately 21,000-gross-square-foot, two-story medical office building. The project will support expanded outpatient services and clinics, potentially including radiation oncology, nuclear medicine, linear accelerator systems, advanced imaging systems such as CT, PET/CT, and MRI, patient examination and procedure areas, treatment and recovery spaces, clinical support areas, and staff and administrative areas. The initial phase will focus on first-floor improvements, while the architect will support design coordination and future clinical improvements on the second floor. The architectural program will be developed during pre-design, and respondents must demonstrate experience with medical outpatient facilities and adaptive-reuse building projects. The overall project cost for both floors is anticipated to be $40 million to $45 million, subject to the agreed scope and phasing. Selection and appointment are contingent on project approval by the University of California Board of Regents or its delegated authority.
