Description
The City of Kenai is soliciting bids for Project 2026-160, Mission Avenue Erosion Control. The work includes relocating and installing a water service, constructing stormwater control structures and sandbag berms, installing approximately 370 linear feet of heat trace, removing and replacing fencing, extending a driveway, placing topsoil, and installing dormant hydroseed and rolled erosion control products. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, and equipment and complete the work within 45 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed; the anticipated Notice to Proceed date is October 5, 2026. Bids must include the furnished Bid Form, Tax Compliance Certificate, applicable licenses, Non-Collusion Affidavit, and, when the bid exceeds $100,000, a bid bond with Power of Attorney. The successful contractor must provide 100% performance and payment bonds before contract execution. The solicitation also requires current applicable Alaska business and contractor licenses, and the work is subject to Alaska Title 36 prevailing-wage requirements. Insurance certificates are required after award, within 10 days of the Notice of Award, rather than with the bid.
