Description
The Town of Buena Vista is soliciting proposals to remove the existing wooden stairs at Sheila Stout Memorial Softball Field and construct a replacement reinforced-concrete staircase within the existing footprint. The project includes approximately 16 steps and three landings, reinforced footers and landings, approximately seven cubic yards of 4,000-PSI concrete, formwork, reinforcement, placement, finishing, curing, excavation, backfill, compaction, demolition, cleanup, and restoration of disturbed areas. The contractor must also furnish and install approximately 56 linear feet of galvanized steel handrails along both sides of the stairs and landings, including posts, base plates, concrete anchors, protective coating, and related fabrication. Work must comply with applicable Town requirements, the International Building Code, and the 2010 ADA Standards. Proposers may bid the complete project, concrete work only, or handrail work only; complete-project proposals must separately price the concrete and handrail portions. Responses must include a signed cover letter, detailed approach and schedule, pricing, qualifications, project-team information, and at least two client references.
