Description
South Metro Fire Rescue Fire Protection District is seeking a qualified actuarial firm to provide Other Post-Employment Benefits (OPEB) actuarial valuation services in accordance with Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) Statement No. 75. The selected firm will review plan provisions and participant data; prepare annual actuarial valuation reports, calculations, financial statement disclosures, and required supplementary information; evaluate assumptions and methodologies; and provide recommendations regarding changes affecting reported obligations. The scope also includes consultation and technical guidance for SMFR Finance staff, assistance with external auditor inquiries, and electronic draft and final deliverables. Proposers must describe their approach, valuation frequency and methodology, work plan, milestones, deliverables, key personnel, assumptions and dependencies, additional recommendations, firm qualifications, similar engagements, and at least three references from comparable customers served within the past five years. A detailed itemized cost proposal for the two-year base period is required. The contract is anticipated to have a two-year base term with up to one additional two-year extension period.
