Description
The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California is soliciting a contractor to operate its approximately 10,350-square-foot Courtyard Cafe at the Union Station Headquarters facility. The scope includes managing daily breakfast and lunch service for employees, board members, tenants, visitors, and the public; preparing fresh, nutritious menu offerings; operating and stocking vending machines; maintaining sanitary conditions and food-service equipment; staffing and supervising the cafeteria; and complying with applicable health, safety, licensing, and food-service requirements. The contractor must provide an on-site manager whenever the cafeteria is open and maintain adequate trained personnel. The contractor must also provide daily meeting catering and buffet-style board-meeting meals, as well as catering for special events during and after normal operating hours. Proposals must address organizational qualifications, comparable experience, menus and pricing, operating approach, staffing, transition/start-up planning, site-visit access, and business-outreach participation. The initial term is three years with two optional one-year renewals. A mandatory pre-proposal conference and site tour is required, and the proposal must be submitted electronically through the Metropolitan's e-procurement system.
