Description
The City of Newport News is seeking multiple qualified providers to deliver in-home companion and personal care services to adults aged 18 and older with physical or mental incapacities and adults aged 60 and older who need assistance with activities of daily living or instrumental activities of daily living. Services will be provided throughout the City and include light housekeeping, laundry, shopping, transportation, supervision, companionship, meal preparation, bathing, dressing, toileting, and eating or feeding assistance. The scope also includes certified nursing assistant services for Adult Protective Services and crisis clients, with service initiation required within 24 hours for those referrals. Providers must maintain adequate staffing and backup coverage, complete service plans and documentation within specified timeframes, meet background-check, registry-check, fraud-check, health-screening, licensing, and Medicaid enrollment or approval requirements, and protect confidential client information. Proposals must include a technical proposal, price proposal, required certifications and licenses, references, and other vendor questionnaire responses; the City anticipates making multiple awards under a one-year initial term with four one-year renewal options.
