Description
The U.S. Air Force is soliciting a contractor to remediate approximately eight loose cubic yards of diesel-contaminated soil and grass from a measured 17-by-10-foot area. The work includes excavation to confirmed cleanup levels, initial and clearance sampling, laboratory analysis using TCEQ Method TX1005 for TPH and SW-846 8260C for BTEX, containerization, transportation and landfill disposal, clean off-site backfill, and restoration of approximately 170 square feet of grass. The applicable cleanup reference is the TCEQ TRRP Table 5 using the 0.5-acre source-area criteria; the Government clarified that the release involved diesel only and that the contractor may include optional line items for additional quantities and samples. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, sampling, transportation, disposal, backfill, fencing and safety-warning indicators, utility-clearance coordination, and restoration work. The excavation is outside the installation perimeter fence, so installation access is not required. The project has a 60-calendar-day performance period from the notice-to-proceed date, and final acceptance requires 70% grass coverage. The Government will review analytical submittals in approximately three business days and will determine final acceptance based on CE personnel recommendations.
