Description
The Iowa Department of Management, on behalf of the Iowa Department of Public Safety, is conducting a Request for Information to research digital evidence management system platforms and implementation approaches. The anticipated solution would centralize digital evidence intake, storage, management, sharing, retention, legal holds, immutable audit trails, evidence hashing, chain-of-custody controls, redaction, case-package production, and public-records workflows across multiple public-safety divisions. The agency is particularly interested in fully managed, cloud-based SaaS solutions with storage-inclusive pricing, although on-premises, hybrid, and separately metered models may also respond. Solutions should address CJIS, NIST SP 800-53, accessibility, encryption, identity and access management, incident response, tenant isolation, integrations, migration from legacy repositories, and scalable storage from hundreds of terabytes to multi-petabyte volumes. Respondents are asked to provide qualifications, comparable deployments, technical and security information, implementation approaches, migration methods, governance capabilities, pricing models, rough-order-of-magnitude costs, and typical implementation timelines. This RFI is non-binding and will inform a possible future procurement; responses will not be scored as proposals.
