Description
Butte County Sheriff's Office is seeking a contractor to provide a new or relatively new 30-cubic-yard, self-contained trash compactor and a vertical cardboard baler producing 60-by-30-by-48-inch bales under a monthly rental arrangement. The equipment must operate on a 208-volt, three-phase electrical system; the compactor must be watertight, have a lockable loading hopper, include specified safety controls, provide at least 48,000 pounds of crush force, and fit on a 10-by-24-foot concrete pad. The contractor must deliver and install the equipment, provide all pre-maintenance, on-site maintenance, and repairs at no additional cost, respond to repair and service calls within three business days, and remove the equipment within three business days of the County's request. Proposals must address equipment, implementation and training, staffing and service approach, subcontractors, exceptions, pricing, experience, references, capabilities, and a draft scope of work. The anticipated initial contract term is five years, subject to annual appropriation.
