Description
The City of Yuba City is soliciting bids for construction of improvements at the North Gilsizer Detention Basin and adjacent Corporation Yard. The scope includes installation of piezometers, a City-furnished Contech CDS trash-capture manhole, 30-inch PVC inlet and outlet piping, a gravel access road, an ecology block weir, a concrete retaining wall, a 14-foot chain-link swing gate, riprap slope protection, and additional ecology blocks along the existing channel. The Contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, excavation, grading, shoring, dewatering, site preparation, testing, restoration, and integration of the owner-furnished manhole necessary for a complete installation. The estimated construction cost is $477,000. The contract requires substantial completion within 60 calendar days and completion of all work within 90 calendar days. The project is subject to California prevailing-wage, apprenticeship, Department of Industrial Relations registration, stormwater, environmental, safety, and public-works requirements. Bidders must demonstrate qualifying prior experience with public-works stormwater trash-capture systems and submit the prescribed bid forms, bid security, qualifications, subcontractor information, certifications, and major equipment/material supplier schedule.
