Description
Sauk County, on behalf of the Tri-County Airport Commission, is soliciting bids for a lease of approximately 74.27 acres across nine parcels at the Tri-County Airport. The lease term is January 1, 2027, through December 31, 2029. Bidders must provide a cash rent per acre and total annual payment, along with a cover letter, experience and qualifications summary, technology description for documenting planting and harvesting data, one professional or personal reference, two credit references, and earnest money equal to 10% of the first annual rent installment. The lessee must conduct agricultural operations subject to airport-safety restrictions, including planting only low-growing crops, prohibiting corn, maintaining required runway offsets, harvesting promptly, controlling wildlife-attracting residue and noxious weeds, using agricultural equipment only during daylight hours, and avoiding storage, burning, hunting, signage, structures, and standing water on the premises. Brokers and commissioned agents are prohibited. The successful bidder will enter into a lease incorporating the RFB requirements.
