Description
The City of West Des Moines is soliciting bids for the 2026 Sewer Cleaning and Televising Program, Project No. 0510-008-2026. The work includes Type A cleaning and televising of approximately 14,972 linear feet of six- to 42-inch sanitary sewer; additional televising of approximately 645 linear feet of six- to 10-inch sanitary sewer; Type C root removal of approximately 700 linear feet of 12- to 24-inch sanitary sewer; protruding tap cutting; and related work. The contractor must furnish all labor, equipment, and materials and comply with the plans and specifications prepared by AECOM. Bids must be submitted electronically through the City's online bidding portal by 2:00 p.m. Central on October 21, 2026. Each bid must include scanned bid security equal to 10% of the total bid; the apparent low bidder must deliver the physical bid security within 48 hours after the deadline. The successful bidder must provide 100% performance and payment bonds and a certificate of insurance. Work must begin within 10 days after written notice to proceed and be completed by April 30, 2027. Iowa products, provisions, coal, and domestic labor receive statutory preference.
