Description
Polk County is seeking a single prime contractor, either independently or with a subcontractor, to provide unified operations and food and beverage management for the Iowa Events Center. The scope covers comprehensive facility management; event booking, scheduling, coordination, marketing, and promotion; concessions and catering; customer and client relations; maintenance and repairs in collaboration with the County; financial management and reporting; technology and systems management; staffing, training, and development; and implementation of performance metrics and reporting. Proposals must address both operations and food and beverage services and include strategies for the arena, expo center, convention center, restaurant, concessions, catering, premium hospitality, and community events. The proposal must include detailed plans for KPIs, community benefits, entertainment programming, food and beverage enhancement, destination-marketing collaboration, capital improvements, preventive maintenance, human resources, technology, vendor management, financial reporting, staffing, a five-year financial proposal, and transition. The initial agreement term is 10 years, with two five-year extension options at Polk County's discretion. Proposals must be submitted electronically through BidNet Direct; paper, email, and fax submissions are not accepted. The proposal must use an easily readable font of at least 11 points and margins of at least one inch.
