Description
Carteret County Schools is seeking a single-prime contractor for the locker room and band renovations at East Carteret High School. The scope includes selective demolition, site work, excavation, concrete, masonry, structural and miscellaneous metals, carpentry, roofing, doors and windows, interior finishes, lockers, plumbing, HVAC, electrical work, fire alarm expansion, data cabling, security systems, intercom expansion, signage, storage shelving, toilet partitions, and related building systems. The bid package requires a sealed proposal delivered to Carteret County Schools Facilities Services. Bidders must attend the mandatory pre-bid conference, submit the prescribed proposal and HUB participation materials, and provide a five-percent bid security. Performance and labor-and-material payment bonds, each equal to 100 percent of the contract sum, are required from the successful contractor. The project also includes a $400,000 cash allowance and a 10 percent minority-business participation goal.
