Description
Contra Costa County Public Works is soliciting proposals from qualified and experienced firms to provide on-call flooring services at more than 200 County facilities. The scope includes routine maintenance, emergency repairs, removal and demolition, haul-away and disposal, surface preparation, and installation or replacement of wood flooring, sheet vinyl, luxury vinyl tile, vinyl composition tile, carpet tile, broadloom carpet, rubber flooring, and vinyl flooring with integral coved base. Experience with epoxy, urethane cement, cementitious overlays or underlays, grind-and-seal, and polished concrete flooring is desirable but not required. The contractor must provide labor, equipment, tools, transportation, supervision, estimates, furniture or equipment relocation, work-area cleaning, and related services. Emergency requests require a response within two hours, while non-emergency requests require commencement within 48 hours unless otherwise agreed. Proposers must demonstrate at least five years of relevant experience, hold a current California C-15 Flooring Contractor's license and applicable permits, submit hourly rates and markups, provide at least three customer references, and submit the required experience, pricing, reference, anti-collusion, addenda acknowledgment, licensing, and insurance materials. The initial contract term is three years, with two optional one-year renewals, and the County may award between one and three contracts.
