Description
The Town of Ocean City is soliciting bids for replacement of the Ocean City Convention Center lobby flooring. The work includes preparing joints; repairing approximately 300 square feet of existing terrazzo; grinding the existing terrazzo to accept bonding agent; installing Evo Flooring Collection hybrid vinyl tile in three specified colors and pattern; installing transition strips and utility covers; and installing Flexco Distinct Designs stair treads. The contractor must also paint existing cove base and step edges with specified Sherwin-Williams products, coordinate work around the convention center event calendar, maintain a safe and clean worksite, dispose of debris, document existing conditions, and repair any damage caused by its operations. The project is anticipated to run from January 4, 2027, through April 5, 2027, for 91 calendar days. A bid bond equal to 5% of the bid is required; the successful vendor must provide 100% payment and performance bonds. The solicitation requires a Maryland contractor's license, insurance, three similar-work references, and a subcontractor list with the bid submission.
