Description
The Contra Costa County Fire Protection District is soliciting proposals from experienced firms or individuals to provide wildfire mitigation and wildland fuels management services throughout the District's service area. Work may occur on public or private property, in developed or undeveloped areas, and may include hazardous vegetation and ladder-fuel reduction, tree and limb removal, hand cutting, brush removal, mastication, mowing, weed abatement, forest-stand thinning, chipping, hauling, disposal, prescribed-burning preparation, and erosion-control measures. Contractors must provide qualified personnel, equipment, supervision, transportation, and labor, including a hand crew of 10 to 16 personnel with an on-site supervisor. Proposals must describe capabilities, experience, methodology, key personnel, staffing, pricing, and references, and must include the specified forms and supporting documentation. The initial contract term is three years, with up to two additional one-year extensions. Work is subject to applicable environmental, safety, licensing, prevailing-wage, apprenticeship, insurance, and District requirements.
