Description
Franklin County is requesting sealed bids from qualified general contractors for renovations to two existing county buildings at 8146 and 8148 NC-56. The work includes selective demolition; flooring, ceilings, doors, casework, painting, restroom renovations, plumbing, HVAC, lighting, electrical work, signage, and lead-based paint abatement. Asbestos abatement is excluded and will be completed by the Owner before award. Site work includes a new underground water line and communications conduit, CAT6 and multimode fiber cabling, IT cabinets and patch panels, chain-link fencing, a sliding vehicle gate, a pedestrian gate, automatic gate operation, access-control rough-in, a Knox box, and related power, trenching, permits, and restoration. The contractor must provide specified electrical, mechanical, plumbing, life-safety, and other design documents, obtain required permits, and complete the work for Building 8146 and associated site work by March 22, 2027, and Building 8148 by April 26, 2027. A 5% bid deposit is required, and the successful contractor must furnish 100% performance and payment bonds after award.
