Description
Durham County is soliciting bids from a single-prime general contractor for construction of a 28,895-square-foot Utilities Administration Building and associated site work. The project includes structural, architectural, civil, utility, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, audio-visual, security, fire protection, site, and related construction work. An optional 9,150-square-foot warehouse, solar panel system, unclassified rock excavation, preferred-brand door hardware, and EV charging stations are identified as alternates. The bid package also includes unit prices for rock removal, unsuitable soils, replacement materials, geotextile fabric, horizontal rock boring, and access doors. The contractor must complete the work within 420 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed, with liquidated damages of $500 per calendar day for delay.
