Description
The Upper Leacock Township Municipal Authority is soliciting bids for the replacement of approximately 11,350 linear feet of existing low-pressure sewer force main along New Holland Pike. The work includes HDPE and limited PVC force main installation, approximately 11 low-pressure sewer main interconnections, customer lateral reconnections, lateral valve replacements, air-release valves and vaults, demolition and rehabilitation of existing valve vaults and manholes, excavation, dewatering, trenching, backfilling, testing, traffic maintenance, erosion and sedimentation controls, and surface restoration of lawns, gravel, asphalt, municipal roads, state roads, sidewalks, and curbs. The project is a unit-price general construction contract with an estimated value of $3.6 million. The successful contractor must substantially complete the work within 315 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed and must complete final-payment readiness within 14 days after substantial completion. Bidders must perform at least 50 percent of the work with their own forces. A 10 percent bid security is required, and the successful bidder must furnish performance and payment bonds, each for 100 percent of the Contract Price. Required bid submissions include the Bid Form Certification, bid security, Non-Collusion Affidavit, Worker's Compensation Affidavit, Public Works Employment Verification Form, CFA Non-Discrimination/Sexual Harassment Affidavit, and Experience Questionnaire, with the bid submitted through the online PennBid portal.
