Description
This invitation for bids covers general and electrical construction for improvements at four non-contiguous wastewater pump stations: Bareville, Apricot, Glennbrook, and Hertzog. The work includes demolition and replacement of existing equipment and structures, wet-well and valve-vault improvements, aeration systems, discharge piping and valves, emergency generators and automatic transfer switches, electrical power and controls, natural-gas and exhaust piping, pavement and site restoration, and related fencing, relining, excavation, bypass pumping, and utility work. The project includes separate general construction and electrical construction contracts, with general construction base work and bid alternates identified in the bid forms. Bidders must submit pricing for all applicable bid items through the online procurement system, along with bid security equal to 10% of the maximum bid. The successful contractor must provide 100% performance and payment bonds, comply with Pennsylvania prevailing-wage and public-works requirements, and complete substantial work within 240 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. The bid package requires a Bid Form Certification, Non-Collusion Affidavit, Workers' Compensation Affidavit, Public Works Employment Verification Form, and Commonwealth Financing Authority Non-Discrimination/Sexual Harassment Affidavit. The documents also require the contractor to perform at least 50% of the work with its own forces.
