Description
San Mateo County's Aging and Disability Services Department is seeking professional auctioneer services for Public Guardian and Public Administrator clients. The contractor will support the disposition of personal property and other authorized estate assets, including inspection, pickup, inventory, cataloging, photography, valuation, marketing, storage, auction, sale, settlement, reporting, and County-approved disposition. The scope supports live, online, and hybrid auctions and includes secure custody and logistics, bidder outreach, payment processing, separate accounting for estate proceeds, detailed settlement and auction reports, timely remittance of proceeds, unsold-item recommendations, customer service, and annual staff training. Proposals must describe the auction service model, marketing approach, intake and valuation procedures, logistics, reporting, pricing and financial controls, qualifications, staffing, comparable projects, references, and a comprehensive plan addressing the scope and performance measures. The agreement term is three years, with one County option to extend for up to two additional years.
