GoTriangle is soliciting bids for comprehensive towing and recovery services for its fleet of forty-foot and thirty-five-foot transit buses, battery-electric buses, paratransit vehicles, support vehicles, maintenance vehicles, and administrative vehicles. Required services include heavy-, medium-, and light-duty towing; disabled-vehicle recovery; accident recovery and stabilization; winching; loading and transport when conventional towing is not feasible; and emergency response 24 hours per day, seven days per week, including holidays and emergency events. The contractor must maintain appropriately rated heavy-duty equipment, personnel, and capability to tow buses from the front or rear, recover and transport electric vehicles using manufacturer-approved procedures, and ensure personnel are trained for high-voltage vehicle hazards. Services cover GoTriangle's operating region, with disabled vehicles generally transported to the GoTriangle Bus Operations and Maintenance Facility. The contract term is two years, with possible successive one-year extensions up to a maximum aggregate term of three years. The cost proposal must be submitted on the prescribed form; email and fax copies are not acceptable.
