Description
Ocean County seeks an auctioneer service to inventory, catalog, advertise, market, and auction county-owned vehicles, trucks, construction equipment, tools, industrial machinery, and miscellaneous property through a secure online platform. The contractor must manage buyer registration, conduct and fairly adjudicate auctions, process transactions and payments, coordinate pickup by winning buyers, manage sales paperwork and title or deed transfers, maintain transaction records, and provide detailed post-auction reports. The contractor must provide at least two years of experience in online auction services for vehicles and equipment, submit information about assigned personnel and support staff, and provide proposed seller's and buyer's premiums. The contractor will be compensated through a percentage of gross sales, must guarantee payment of the County's share if a buyer defaults, and must remit the County's portion within 14 calendar days after each auction. The anticipated contract term is two years, with an estimated four auctions per year but no guaranteed minimum number of auctions or items.
