Description
The Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles is seeking a qualified, properly licensed towing and recovery operator to provide on-call, as-needed towing and secure storage of unauthorized vehicles at DMV headquarters. Services must be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days per year, and vehicles may be removed only when authorized by designated DMV security personnel or another authorized DMV representative. The contract will be provided at no cost to DMV. The contractor will recover authorized towing, storage, and related charges directly from the vehicle owner or other legally responsible party in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws. Pricing scenarios include normal-hours and after-hours towing of a standard passenger vehicle, transport to the offeror’s proposed impound lot, and 24-hour storage with applicable towing, mileage, administrative, and processing charges.
