The U.S. Special Operations Command, through its Program Executive Office Fixed Wing and SOFWERX, is conducting a competitive Assessment Event for organizations that can integrate existing or propose new autonomy behaviors into the government-owned FANTOM autonomy software stack using the FANTOM Core Software Development Kit. The effort supports Group 2–3 unmanned systems within the Adaptive Airborne Enterprise and seeks capabilities such as mission adaptation, swarm coordination, sensing, navigation, task allocation, distributed decision-making, targeting, and tracking. Respondents may be evaluated for technical merit and potential follow-on agreements, including research or prototype agreements, cooperative research agreements, prizes, or FAR-based contracts. The event includes an initial capability submission, a virtual Q&A session, a downselect, and virtual one-on-one assessment sessions for selected participants. Potential awardees may need to comply with NIST SP 800-171 for protecting controlled unclassified information in non-federal systems.
