Description
The City of Durham is soliciting sealed bids for South Ellerbe Restoration Phase 3B, a single-prime, unit-price construction contract at 808 W. Trinity Avenue in Durham. The work includes stream and wetland restoration; stormwater outfall modifications; an earthen embankment and water-control structure; retaining walls; utility, drainage, and erosion-control work; a greenway trail and maintenance path; pedestrian plazas and hardscaped areas; landscaping; site furnishings; and related demolition, grading, paving, concrete, structural steel, boardwalk, and stormwater trash-collection work. A wetlands boardwalk is listed as an additive alternate. Bidders must be licensed under Chapter 87 of the North Carolina General Statutes and provide specified experience, personnel, equipment, subcontractor qualifications, safety information, project references, and required federal DBE/MBE/WBE participation forms. The bid must include the approved unit-price bid form, bid security equal to 5% of the bid amount, a bidder non-collusion affidavit, experience and qualification information, selected subcontractor information, safety-record information, a project information sheet, and other listed bid forms. The project requires completion within 700 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed, with final completion within 760 days; performance and payment bonds and specified insurance are required after award.
