Description
The City of Durham Department of Transportation is soliciting bids for on-call inductive loop services at various locations within the City of Durham. The work consists of installing and removing inductive loops and associated pavement markings, including furnishing labor, materials, equipment, utility locating, permits, traffic control, site cleanup, and related safety measures. Work assignments will be issued after the notice to proceed, and each assignment will have its own completion schedule. Bidders must be prequalified with the North Carolina Department of Transportation for the applicable discipline and must hold the proper electrical contractor license for traffic signal work. IMSA Level II certification is mandatory for personnel entering traffic signal cabinets, and contractors must provide proof of IMSA Work Zone Safety Certification or an approved equivalent. The solicitation requires a completed bid form, notarized non-collusion affidavit, contract safety record information with supporting documentation, and certificate of insurance. A 5% bid bond is required only if the bid exceeds $500,000; performance and payment bonds are required with the signed contract. The contract has a one-year initial term with up to two one-year renewal options at the City's discretion.
