Description
The City of Raleigh is seeking multiple qualified automotive and equipment service providers to support maintenance, diagnostics, repair, roadside and mobile service, and ongoing operation of its mixed fleet of vehicles, trailers, and equipment. The fleet includes light-, medium-, and heavy-duty vehicles; refuse, sewer, street, fire, utility, and vocational trucks; trailers; buses; automobiles; electric and hybrid vehicles; agricultural equipment; construction equipment; forklifts; mowers; and other specialized equipment. Proposers may submit for specific vehicle or equipment classes and manufacturers rather than the entire fleet. Services include preventive maintenance, repair, diagnostics, parts and labor, shop and roadside service, after-hours/weekend/holiday response, vehicle ferrying, subcontracted specialized work, service-truck support, repair records, and a minimum 12-month/12,000-mile parts-and-labor warranty. Emergency roadside response must occur within two hours, and city assets must be diagnosed within one business day of arrival. The City anticipates multiple awards, has no minimum work volume, and will use a three-year initial term with two one-year options.
