Description
The Town of Smithfield is soliciting proposals for construction work to modify the existing bleachers at its Municipal Ice Rink by adding a guard railing system along one side of the staircases. The work must follow the architect-supplied specifications, plans, and drawings, including the project drawings for the bleacher railings. The contractor must provide labor, materials, equipment, temporary site facilities, coordination, delivery and handling, installation, quality control, and required shop drawings, product data, samples, and substitution documentation. Prevailing-wage requirements apply. A bid guarantee is required as either a certified check for $10,000 or a bid bond equal to 10% of the proposed total price. The successful bidder must later provide insurance, worker's compensation evidence, and 100% performance and payment bonds; these post-award requirements are not submission-time items.
