Description
North Attleborough Electric Department is soliciting sealed bids for annual cutting, trimming, removal, stump grinding, chipping, and disposal of live and dead trees and limbs to maintain electrical and mechanical clearance around electric distribution, cable, fire, telephone, and fiber lines. Work includes routine line clearing across designated service areas, tree removal by diameter category, CIP and special projects, emergency and storm response, additional crew support, loader and crane services, debris removal, progress reporting, and identification of hazardous trees. The contract is for three years, with annual work periods from January 1 through December 31 in 2027, 2028, and 2029, subject to annual renewal at the department's discretion. Bidders must be TCIA certified, have a certified arborist as project manager, own or exclusively use specified equipment, and provide qualified personnel with electrical hazard awareness training. The solicitation requires prevailing-wage compliance, a 5% bid deposit, and performance and payment bonds each equal to 50% of the contract price. Bids are evaluated primarily on the combined lump-sum pricing for the three annual service areas, with additional unit and hourly pricing items.
