Description
Nash County is soliciting sealed bids for renovation of an approximately 20,235-square-foot building into a new community building. The work includes exterior improvements, interior rooms and finishes, mechanical, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing installations, plus construction of an approximately 515-square-foot reception-area addition serving existing buildings. The scope also includes excavation and grading, sedimentation and erosion control, utilities, concrete sidewalks, landscaping, permanent seeding, building subgrade preparation, and related site utilities. The revised bid documents require a 5% bid security and performance and payment bonds, each equal to 100% of the contract amount. The project has a 180-calendar-day period to substantial completion after issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Bidders must be properly licensed under North Carolina law and submit the required HUB/minority-business participation forms, E-Verify Affidavit, Iran Divestment Act Certification, bid form, and bid security. The stated 10% MBE/WBE participation goal remains applicable. Addendum No. 1 rescinds mandatory pre-bid attendance; bidders remain responsible for reviewing the pre-bid materials and addenda. The addendum also revises the bid form, alternates, and roofing-related scope, including an approved Sikaplan 60 alternate roofing membrane.
