Description
Bucks County is soliciting separate mechanical and electrical prime contractors for replacement of Bard packaged air-conditioning units at four emergency communications radio towers: Buckwampum, New Hope, Newtown, and Solebury. The work includes demolition and removal of existing units; furnishing and installing new Bard units; ductwork connections; controls; air devices; thermostats; condensate components; testing and certification; and related electrical power, wiring, conduit, grounding, and disconnect work. Bidders must bid on all four sites and submit separate mechanical and electrical pricing through the electronic procurement system. The project has an intended four-month duration, requires a mandatory pre-bid meeting and site visit, and requires a 5 percent bid security. Awarded contractors must provide 100 percent performance and labor-and-material payment bonds, a 10 percent maintenance bond, and specified insurance coverage. Pennsylvania prevailing-wage requirements apply.
