Description
SUNY Canton is seeking Statements of Qualifications from consultants to provide full design and construction administration services for repairs at the Convocation and Recreational Center. The scope includes investigation of existing conditions and recommendations for repair, reconstruction, or replacement of the upper field house curtain wall and windows, EPDM roofing, and missing sprayed-on fireproofing at the main concourse. The consultant will support design through construction administration, including preparation of bid documents, construction oversight, inspections, change-order support, and closeout activities. The current construction program budget is $800,000, while the consultant's basic design fee will be negotiated with the most qualified firm; cost proposals must not be included with the qualifications submission. The qualifications package must address firm experience, project organization, staffing, references, and MWBE/SDVOB utilization. The solicitation establishes participation goals of 16% MBE, 14% WBE, and 6% SDVOB. The anticipated schedule identifies consultant selection in December 2026, bid documents in June 2027, and construction completion in August 2028.
