Description
Massachusetts Maritime Academy is soliciting general contractor bids for a complete roof replacement at the Kelly Power Plant. The work includes replacing the existing built-up roof insulated assembly with a cold-applied SBS modified bituminous insulated roof assembly meeting current energy code requirements, along with replacement of perimeter roof flashings, scuppers, rain leaders, and counter flashings at masonry wall conditions. The estimated project cost is $290,000. General bidders must hold current Massachusetts Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance certification in the Roofing category and submit a current Certificate of Eligibility and signed Prime/General Contractor Update Statement. The project requires a bid deposit of at least 5% of the greatest possible bid amount, including alternates, and participation benchmarks of 4% MBE, 9% WBE, and 3% VBE. Bids must be submitted electronically; hard-copy bids will not be accepted.
