Description
The Ephrata Area Joint Authority is soliciting bids for Contract No. 1—General Construction for New Joy Drive Water Main Modifications. The work includes furnishing labor, materials, equipment, and appurtenances; installing a precast valve vault with a 12-inch double-check valve assembly; installing approximately 325 feet of 3-inch HDPE pipe by directional drilling; installing a water-main blow-off assembly and sampling hydrant; reconnecting three water-service laterals; and completing paving and surface restoration. A bid security in the form of a certified check or bid bond of at least 10% is required. The project is subject to Pennsylvania prevailing-wage requirements, applicable environmental and public-resource regulations, and the Public Works Employment Verification Act. An executed non-collusion affidavit is required with the bid, while the Public Works Employment Verification Form is required as a precondition to contract award. The estimated project cost exceeds $25,000.
