Description
Quarryville Borough is soliciting bids for upgrades to traffic signals at South Church Street (SR 0222) and 4th Street. The work includes installing radar advance dilemma/density-zone detectors and stop-bar radar detectors; adding backplates with retroreflective yellow borders to existing signals; modifying signal timing; replacing the signal controller; replacing pedestrian push-button signs; and installing an optical emergency vehicle pre-emption system, along with related work described in the Project Manual. The project must comply with the Green Light-Go Program Grant/Reimbursement Agreement and related additional provisions. Bidders must be PennDOT pre-qualified, comply with applicable anti-kickback, sexual-harassment, nondiscrimination, and Pennsylvania prevailing-wage requirements, and submit an executed anti-collusion statement. Bid security of at least 10% is required. The successful bidder must furnish 100% performance and payment bonds. The estimated contract value is $77,000.
