Description
The City of Henderson is soliciting proposals for a turnkey design-build interactive water splash pad at Anthony Brooks Park, located at 817 Madison Street. The project includes design, engineering, permitting, furnishing, and installation of an approximately 1,250-square-foot, square, non-recirculating flow-through splash pad connected to the municipal water and sanitary sewer systems. The contractor must provide the complete potable-water, drainage, electrical, controls, equipment-enclosure, concrete, grading, and related systems, with final utility tie-ins performed by the City unless otherwise directed. The design must include at least four above-ground spray features, varied ground-level spray elements for multiple age groups, automatic shutoff and programmable controls, remote technical monitoring, tamper-resistant components, ADA-compliant access, and water consumption not exceeding 100 gallons per minute. The scope also includes testing and commissioning, operation manuals, on-site staff training, one return visit during the first operating season, required permits and approvals, and compliance with applicable Kentucky regulations, ADA requirements, ASTM standards, and Build America, Buy America requirements. The anticipated project budget is $200,000 to $235,000. Proposals must include renderings, a scaled layout, a foam-board rendering, equipment list, cost breakdown, cover letter and statement of interest, qualifications, timeline, and three client references with examples of previous projects.
