Description
The Henderson Water Utility is soliciting an unpriced technical offer and subsequent reverse-auction pricing for 7% sulfuric acid in liquid alum for potable-water treatment. The estimated annual quantities are 440,000 pounds for the South Water Treatment Facility and 1,327,500 pounds for the North Water Treatment Facility. The product must comply with AWWA B403, include 7% H2SO4, be certified under ANSI/NSF Standard 60, and be delivered in bulk by properly cleaned tank trucks. The supplier must provide proof of NSF approval, any requested performance experience treating Green River water, qualified on-site technical support when requested, and samples for possible jar and in-plant testing. The contract is for one year from bid acceptance, with two possible one-year extensions. Phase 1 requires an unpriced technical offer; only approved bidders may participate in the Phase 2 reverse auction. Award consideration includes product performance, testing results, and unit cost, and the awarded supplier must pay a 2.9% eBridge transaction fee.
