Description
The Department of the Air Force is soliciting a small-business contractor for a five-year requirements contract covering standalone exterior maintenance, repair, testing, abatement, and replacement tasks for buildings and structures. Work may include exterior painting; masonry and CMU repair; window and frame replacement; exterior steel man-door replacement; overhead coiling-door replacement; siding, soffit, fascia, parapet, and EIFS repair; joint sealing; asbestos and lead-paint inspection and related abatement; demolition; material disposal; and associated labor, equipment, materials, safety, environmental, quality-control, and submittal requirements. The initial task-order project includes work at Buildings 400 and 1448, including CMU control-joint repairs, CMU block repairs, replacement of 76 window panes and six window frames, four additional window panes, two overhead doors, and two exterior man doors. The contract has a five-year ordering period, a $2,000 minimum contract value, and a $4,500,000 maximum aggregate contract value. The initial task order requires completion within 75 days after notice to proceed. One contract is anticipated, using a best-value tradeoff based primarily on past performance and price.
