Description
The 341st Contracting Squadron, supporting the 341st Communication Squadron at Malmstrom Air Force Base, is soliciting a requirements contract for outside- and inside-plant cable and infrastructure services. The scope includes engineering and design, site surveys, Category 6 copper and fiber optic cable installation, racks and cabinets, cable management, fiber distribution panels, testing and certification, labeling, splicing, firestopping, cable removal, equipment removal and disposal, and dig-permit processing. The contractor must provide the labor, materials, equipment, and vehicles needed for task orders; perform preventive maintenance inspections of communications closets and manholes/handholes; provide as-built documentation for outside-plant projects; and support standard, urgent, and emergency response requirements, including 24-hour emergency fiber-backbone restoration. The contract uses firm-fixed-price task-order estimates based on a completed pricing sheet and three mock project scenarios. The government states a minimum of $40,000 in orders per fiscal year, a minimum total value of $200,000 over five years, and a maximum contract value of $5,000,000. All materials must comply with Trade Agreements Act and Buy American requirements. The requirement is currently 100% unfunded.
