Description
The project involves repairing Rainbow Dam Road by demolishing a failing road section, existing guardrail, and a small rubble retaining wall. Work includes construction of approximately 775 square feet of mechanically stabilized earth retaining wall, asphalt pavement and seal-and-cover surfacing, geotextile fabric, excavation, erosion protection, traffic control, guardrail, two one-way departure terminal sections, pavement striping, and related miscellaneous work. The contractor must provide construction staking, quality-control testing, permits, traffic control, site restoration, and disposal of demolition materials. The bid must include a completed Bid Form, bid security, evidence of authority to do business or a covenant to obtain it, contractor license information or a covenant to obtain it, and the signed Contractor Verification of Nondiscrimination Against Firearm Entities/Trade Associations. Successful bidders must furnish 100% performance and labor-and-materials payment bonds, insurance, and Montana Department of Labor and Industry registration before contract execution. The contract provides for substantial completion within 30 days after the Contract Times commence.
