Description
The Colorado Department of Corrections seeks a provider to facilitate up to two recurring, in-person writing labs each month across multiple correctional facilities, offering individualized feedback, revision support, and ongoing writing development. The provider will also deliver four cohort-based courses annually covering communication, writing, storytelling, narrative development, digital literacy, and emerging technologies. The scope includes producing four quarterly issues each year of a statewide newspaper and a creative arts magazine, as well as an annual anthology of selected works. The provider must coordinate publication work with the department, submit materials for review before publication, and provide periodic reports on lab activity, participation, and publication progress. Staff serving at facilities must complete required training and security screening. The initial term is anticipated to run from December 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027, with up to four additional one-year renewals.
