Description
The School District seeks multiple vendors to provide in-person American Sign Language interpretation for its schools and departments. The current need is 12 interpreters, with classroom assignments based on seven billable hours per school day. Services include standard and emergency appointments, classroom and non-classroom interpreting, trilingual Spanish/sign-language interpreting, and evening and weekend coverage. Interpreters must meet specified fluency and certification requirements; bidders must provide staff resumes and certifications, references, pricing, and other required bid documentation. The contract has an initial three-year term and one optional two-year renewal. The District may select a primary vendor and one or more alternate vendors. The solicitation sets a 10% SBE/VBE participation goal, which bidders are encouraged to meet or demonstrate good-faith efforts toward; the addendum clarifies that participation is not mandatory.
