Description
The City of Colorado Springs seeks on-call irrigation repair and troubleshooting services for city-owned infrastructure in parks, athletic fields, medians, rights-of-way, and open spaces. The work may involve sprinkler heads, piping, valves, controllers, wiring, electrical service, and related components. Repairs must generally be completed within 48 hours of notification, use approved materials and standards, restore damaged turf and landscaping, and be performed by or under the direct supervision of a certified irrigation contractor or technician. The contractor must also test and document completed repairs, coordinate inspections, and provide a warranty through one full growing season. This is a time-and-materials, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity arrangement. Proposals must include a technical and management approach, at least three relevant references or contract examples, resumes for key personnel, and pricing, including labor rates, equipment pricing, and material markups. The solicitation also requires completion of the provided qualifications document and hourly rate sheet. The sample contract states a not-to-exceed amount of $1.5 million per year, but does not guarantee a minimum amount of work.
