Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Louisville District, is soliciting proposals from MATOC contractors for removal, fabrication, delivery, and installation of two culvert valve assemblies at Cannelton Lock and Dam. Each assembly includes a strut arm, bell crank, culvert valve, pins, valve bearing block assemblies, and ancillary items shown in the plans. Work also includes disposal of removed valves as applicable, unwatering and maintaining the culvert valve chamber in an unwatered state during installation, and rewatering the chamber. The estimated magnitude of construction is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000, and award will be based on the lowest evaluated price. The contract requires completion within 1,500 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed, with commencement within 10 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. The contractor must perform at least 20 percent of the total work with its own organization on site. The solicitation is a total small-business set-aside and requires prevailing-wage compliance, specified insurance, and electronic submission through the PIEE Solicitation Module.
